Club worried Newcastle are set to hijack their £13m move for 3-cap defender

As the opening Premier League weekend approaches, Newcastle United are still trying to sign a new central defender. The Magpies get their new season underway this Saturday as they welcome newly promoted Southampton to St. James’ Park.

Eddie Howe will be keen for his side to get off to a good start as they look to improve on last season’s standings. However, it appears likely that they will get their new campaign underway without a new central defender as their search continues.

It is publicly known that Newcastle are in the market for a new central defender, with their mind on capturing Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi. The Magpies have already seen two bids rejected for Guehi in this transfer window, but that hasn’t stopped the club from making a third offer.

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The new bid from Newcastle is said to be worth an initial £55 million, which could rise to £60 million depending on add-ons. In the latest update, the Premier League side are now increasingly confident that their latest offer to sign Guehi will be enough to get a deal over the line.

The two clubs remain in talks about a deal for Guehi, and there is confidence from Newcastle that a deal will be agreed. The 24 year-old would be an excellent addition for Newcastle, given how well the defender has performed for Crystal Palace and for England in this summer’s Euro 2024.

However, the Magpies could still be looking to add another defender to their squad, a player who will be considerably cheaper than Guehi.

Bologna worried Newcastle will hijack Logan Costa deal

Newcastle have already added Lloyd Kelly to their ranks this summer, but their defensive additions may not stop there, as it was reported last week that the Magpies and West Ham United are both keen on Logan Costa of Toulouse.

Toulouse's Logan Costa.

Serie A side Bologna have also shown an interest in the player but up until now have been put off by the fee. Now, according to Il Resto del Carlino, via Sports Witness, Toulouse would rather deal with Newcastle than Bologna, and are awaiting a "mega offer" from Tyneside.

The Ligue 1 side is said to have received a €15 million (£13m) bid from Bologna, but they are hoping for Eddie Howe’s side to make an offer between €20 million and €25 million. This has resulted in Bologna being worried about a deal being struck for Costa, and they have started to look at alternative targets.

It appears at this stage that Newcastle are trying to get a deal over the line for Guehi, but given that Jamal Lascelles and Sven Botman are still out injured, a further depth addition arriving after Guehi shouldn’t be ruled out.

'We are the best team' – Winners and losers of MLS Cup 2024, as LA Galaxy capitalize on poor RBNY defense, claim championship

The league's most storied franchise claimed their sixth MLS Cup after an absolutely dominant postseason run

CARSON, Calif. — The Los Angeles Galaxy are the 2024 MLS Champions, defeating the New York Red Bulls 2-1 Saturday at Dignity Health Sports Park in front of a sold-out crowd of 26,812 people. The league's most storied franchise claimed their sixth MLS Cup.

The Galaxy returned to the top of MLS after an absolutely dominant postseason run, defeating the Colorado Rapids, Minnesota United FC, Seattle Sounders and now RBNY. Spearheaded by their brilliant midfielder Riqui Puig throughout the playoffs, the Galaxy played the title game without the the ex-Barcelona star, who sustained a torn ACL in the Conference Final, making their achievement on Saturday even more impressive.

Goals from winger Joseph Paintsil and striker Dejan Jovelic secured the victory, while midfielder Gaston Brugman was named MLS Cup MVP after sliding into the starting XI in place of Puig against the Red Bulls.

For the away side, it was a bleak performance from the RBNY defense, conceding twice inside the opening 13 minutes. They earned a goal back through centerback Sean Nealis in the 28th minute, but another never came — despite a plethora of attacking chances.

It was an opportunity for RBNY to earn their first MLS Cup as an organization, with their 29th season in the league once again ending in disappointment. GOAL breaks down the winners and losers from Dignity Health Sports Park.

The Ghanaian winger took his game to another level against the Red Bulls on Saturday, opening the scoring while putting his blistering pace on display all match. He was an absolute thorn in the side of defender Dylan Nealis, beating him on multiple occasions, including the first strike of the match.

Sent a sensational through-ball by Brugman, he fired home to hand the Galaxy an early 1-0 lead.

"The goal happened because Gaston knew, he already watched when I was in an empty space and when he made the touch, he just put it there," the 26-year-old winger told GOAL. "We train about this, and he had the space. And for me, to kill them it's always about my pace, and I know what I need to do – and it resulted in a goal."

In his debut season after arriving from Belgian side Genk ahead of 2024, the 26-year-old scored 10 goals and recorded another 10 assists, while adding another five goal-contributions during the postseason run.

"It means a lot to me, it means a lot to my family, it means a lot to Ghanaians, and the LA supporters, too," he said. "I can't even describe how I feel now. All I have to say is thanks to the work [of the team], to the LA fans, and to the people that support me."

AdvertisementIMGANLOSER: The RBNY defense

Ahead of the match, it was learned that star defender Andres Reyes would miss the match due to what was an apparent sudden illness. Young Swedish defender Noah Eile stepped in for him, but without a proper warmup or expectation to be playing from the opening whistle, the 22-year-old was caught out off-guard from the start.

Miscommunication with his defensive partners created an opening on Paintsil's goal, while on the second from Jovelic, the RBNY defense was once again victim of disorganization.

"It's not how we intended things to go," RBNY defender John Tolkin told GOAL. "We've dealt with adversity all year, and I thought Noah had a good game, so kudos to him for being ready. I know that's not an easy thing to do, in final especially – to be alerted right before we go in that he's starting. So, those things happen, and we've had that next man mentality all year. I'm happy for Noah."

Manager Sandro Schwarz rolled out with two inverted fullbacks and three central defenders, which was a tactic that had previously worked during their postseason run, but the Galaxy exploited it with through balls and lobbed aerial crosses.

In total, the Galaxy registered 12 shots on goal, with six of them ending up on target. However, their Xg (expected goals) was just a mere 1.3 — with poor defending, led by even worse communication, overshadowing any positives that RBNY put on display.

IMGANWINNER: LA Galaxy fans

The White and Gold faithful created one of the most impressive environments from a home fan perspective. For 90-straight minutes, they were loud, proud and consistently singing the name of their club. Speaking in the locker room after the match, Paintsil shared that the fans were the 12th member of the team.

"They've been faithful throughout the season since I came – they've been faithful to now, and I would say a very big thank you to them, because they've made us who we are now, with their voices and with their belief. They gave us that kind of adrenaline to also keep going, to keep fighting," Paintsil told GOAL. "They did everything we just needed. They did for us with their support, with their voice and it resulted in this fantastic moment, with the trophy."

Defender Jalen Neal doubled-down on Paintsil's reaction, with the U.S. youth international telling GOAL that "it means everything to have our fans supporting us through this, every single step of the way, through the ups and downs. It's ultimately what leads to a championship. So we can't thank them enough for what they've done.

"They had unconditional support throughout the season, whether the momentum was towards us or not. We were undefeated at home for a reason this year, and it showed through their support. So, you know, all credit to them for that part. They were really a different force to be reckoned with than us on the field today."

IMGANLOSER: Emil Forsberg

Ahead of Saturday's match, RBNY star Emil Forsberg told GOAL, “I came to win. Nothing else. That’s the ultimate goal, to win."

The Sweden international and former Bundesliga star, however, fell short on Saturday – failing to live up to his own personal ambitions, despite registering the corner kick that led to their lone goal.

"It's tough, I feel very angry, disappointed about everything, to be honest," he told GOAL. "The first 20 minutes, we were a bit sloppy, we gave them two goals and we had to work ourselves out from that."

Forsberg had their best chance of the game to draw level in the second half, too, turning and firing only to hit the post with less than 20 minutes left in the match.

"It wasn't my day. It was just heartbreaking to be honest," he said. "Sad, angry. I should make that one, but it wasn't that kind of day. I'm still proud of what we achieved together, I can't wait for next year. It was a tough season, but still happy about what we achieved together."

Fabrizio Romano: Aston Villa in contact to sign "dream" £60m star for Emery

Having already welcomed several fresh faces in a standout transfer window, Aston Villa are now reportedly in active contact to sign Unai Emery's "dream target" this summer.

Aston Villa transfer news

The Villans have wasted no time before flexing their Champions League muscles for the first time, welcoming the likes of Samuel Iling-Junior, Jaden Philogene and, most recently, Amadou Onana this summer. The latter arrives to replace the departed Douglas Luiz, who swapped Villa Park for Juventus, in what could prove to be wise business from all involved in the Midlands.

Aston Villa join race to sign £8m ace just relegated from Premier League

The Villans have been one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window…

ByTom Cunningham Jul 24, 2024

Onana expressed his delight after completing a summer switch from Everton, telling Villa's official website: “It’s a great stadium with a great atmosphere and the fans are amazing. I’ve played several times against the lads and I know how good they are. I’m ready to bring something to the team as well.

“I want to bring this football club to the top. They had a tremendous season last season. We’ve got to continue that vibe and try to compete at the top.”

If Onana wasn't impressive enough, then Villa's next potential name through the door may steal the headlines for all the right reasons. According to Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa are in active contact to sign Joao Felix, who is a "dream target" for Emery this summer.

Although an "expensive package" for a player who once cost Atletico Madrid as much as a reported £113m, Villa have far from been afraid to splash the cash this summer and could yet do so once more.

"Versatile" Felix can ease responsibility on Watkins

Whilst Felix, thought to be now valued at up to £60m, is not an out-and-out goalscorer, his ability to drop deep in a more controlled role would take the creative responsibility away from Ollie Watkins to unleash the England international into an even greater goalscorer.

The current Villa star managed 19 goals and 13 assists in a stunning Premier League campaign last time out, but easing that burden of work off the ball with Champions League football to balance with domestic responsibilities could quickly prove to be the key.

Felix's ball recoveries instantly stand out as a trait that would benefit Emery's high-pressing side, making the praise of former Barcelona manager Xavi little surprise.

Joao Felix for Barcelona.

Xavi said via 90Min last season: "I see him both as a striker and on the left wing, and also the right. I liked Joao Felix. He has helped. I'd highlight his attitude, which is very important for the team. He is comfortable going from the wing to the inside. He can play as a 9, on the right, but he is less comfortable there. He is versatile, he will give us alternatives and will help us a lot."

Arsenal desperate to keep "in-demand" gem as Bayern Munich push to sign him

Arsenal are working hard to stop an "in-demand" Gunners gem from leaving, as European heavyweights Bayern Munich push to steal him.

Players who could be sold by Arsenal this summer

Young striker Mika Biereth re-joined Austrian side Sturm Graz in a £4 million permanent deal last week, while both midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga and left-back Nuno Tavares moved elsewhere on loan.

Lokonga put pen to paper on a season-long stint at Sevilla, while Tavares signed a five-year contract at Lazio despite only joining on an initial temporary deal. The agreement includes a mandatory £7.5 million buyout clause, meaning the Portuguese will inevitably depart for good.

Many more squad members have been tipped to follow the likes of Lokonga and Tavares out of the Arsenal exit door, including some pretty big names. Emile Smith Rowe, Thomas Partey, Aaron Ramsdale, Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Jesus and Kieran Tierney are other players who Arsenal could still sell this summer, according to various reports.

One man they're very keen to keep hold of, though, is highly-rated starlet Chido Obi-Martin.

Arsenal working hard to keep Obi-Martin as Bayern push

The 16-year-old has been in absolutely scintillating form at academy level, scoring 32 goals in just 18 league appearances for Arsenal's Under-18s last season.

His stellar performances have attracted attention from Europe's elite. Bayern Munich are pushing to sign Obi-Martin from Arsenal, but the Gunners are working hard and determined to keep him at the Emirates with a first professional contract the moment he turns 17.

That is according to journalist Charles Watts, who shared an update on Obi-Martin's future for CaughtOffside.

“Arsenal are working hard to try and keep Chido Obi Martin at the club,” Watts said.

“We’ve seen strong links to Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund this summer, and it’s no secret that both German clubs are pushing to lure Arsenal’s bright young talent away after his exceptionally prolific form at youth level.

“But Arsenal remain in talks with Obi Martin’s camp and as far as I’m aware nothing has been decided yet when it comes to the striker’s future. Arsenal do not want to lose him and they have made that clear during recent talks. A first professional contract is on the table that could be signed the moment he turns 17.

“But he is not 17 until December and so Arsenal remain vulnerable to the in-demand striker leaving before then. They are hoping, however, that all the groundwork that has been done over the last few months will prove successful and he will stay and continue his development in North London.”

Josh Davey's career-best 75* helps Somerset dominate Leicestershire on second day

Josh Davey’s career best 75 not out helped Somerset dominate the second day of the LV=Insurance County Championship match with Leicestershire at Taunton. The Group Two leaders began by extending their first-innings score from a precarious 242 for 7 to 461 for 9 declared, Davey sharing century stands with Roelof van der Merwe, who scored 76, and Marchant de Lange, who reached 75.Then Somerset’s seamers got to work, reducing Leicestershire to 60 for 3 in reply. They closed a final session curtailed by rain on 95 for 3, with skipper Colin Ackermann unbeaten on 21.The day began under cloudy skies at the Cooper Associates County Ground, with van der Merwe on 18 and Davey 4. The former proved the aggressor, taking successive boundaries off Ben Mike as the total advanced to 272 for 7 before the second new ball was taken. It made little difference as van der Merwe moved confidently to fifty off 70 balls, with six fours and a six. He and Davey looked untroubled in extending their eighth-wicket partnership to 102.Ed Barnes eventually had van der Merwe caught at long-on to end an innings that had transformed Somerset’s prospects. But if Leicestershire thought their troubles were over, de Lange was about to prove them wrong. On no fewer than six occasions, the powerful South African swung from the hip to clear the ropes over mid-wicket. And all the time Davey was patiently accumulating to reach his first Championship half-century for Somerset off 144 balls.Roelof van der Merwe drives during his 76•Getty Images

It was 408 for 8 for lunch, by which time de Lange had reached a 38-ball fifty and the hosts were looking to bat only once in the game. They had progressed to 446 when de Lange was caught at long-on off Callum Parkinson. It remained for Davey to go past his previous best first-class score of 71, made for Middlesex on debut against Oxford University back in 2010. At the declaration, the Scotland one-day and T20 international, often an unsung hero of Somerset’s team, had faced 169 balls and hit 11 fours. All the momentum was with the home side and they maintained it before tea, claiming the wickets of Lewis Hill, Rishi Patel and Marcus Harris to leave their opponents 60 for 3.Skipper Craig Overton dropped Hill on 14 at third slip off Jack Brooks, but responded by pinning the opener lbw with the first ball of the following over.Brooks and Davey claimed a wicket apiece before Ackermann dug in, receiving solid support from Josh Inglis in an unbroken stand of 35.The action looked set to continue beyond 7pm to make up for overs lost on day one. But heavy rain set in and the umpires called play off shortly before 6pm.

Introspection beckons as Australia leave Lord's less clear of a path forward

The upcoming tour of West Indies, which starts a new WTC cycle, could prove a line in the sand

Andrew McGlashan14-Jun-20252:00

Hayden: ‘Defensive Cummins missed a trick’

As a rule, Australia don’t lose ICC finals. Only once in ten deciders since 1996, when Sri Lanka famously overcame them in another seismic result, had they fallen short – the 2010 T20 World Cup against England in Barbados. Therefore, the defeat in the World Test Championship (WTC) final at Lord’s is significant and likely to lead to the first stages of regenerating the side for the next cycle when the squad reaches the West Indies.Australia were favourites coming into the final against South Africa – although not perhaps by as big a margin as some perceptions – and also lost from a position of strength: 102 runs ahead on the second day with ten wickets in hand, before losing 7 for 45 as they were unable to navigate the South Africa quicks as the clouds came over. Australia didn’t earn the right to have more batting under sunshine on Friday, the third day of the Test. That had followed being 67 for 4 in the first innings, which ended with a collapse of 5 for 20.Australia played some excellent cricket to reach the WTC final, prevailing in numerous tight situations along the way over the two years, and they do not suddenly need a complete rebuild. It does not need a national enquiry, but it does warrant some introspection.Related

The biggest questions heading into the game were around the top three. Though the selectors were clear on the fact that this was being treated as a one-off occasion, and that decisions made here did not have to link to what’s to come, Australia leave Lord’s arguably less clear of a path forward than before.”We always knew this was going to be a one-off – it’s pretty specific conditions over here,” captain Pat Cummins said after the defeat. “Losing the toss on day one and being sent into bat is never going to be easy for the top three. I think there are probably quite a few people in the line-up that kind of wish they could have done a little bit more. The top three was an obvious one in this game.”It’s not to say that had Australia managed to defend 282, the key issues wouldn’t have been addressed, but there is often a reluctance to change a winning team. Although there remains uncertainty over the strength of the bowling attack which England will be able to bring to Australia later in the year, coach Andrew McDonald has already acknowledged that the hosts will need a settled opening pair by then. Now the tour of the West Indies, which begins on June 25, could prove a line in the sand.”I don’t particularly know why, but it does feel like a little bit of a fresh start,” Cummins said, “Fast forward a couple of years, you start maybe thinking about who’s going to win. Hopefully we make the final, who’s going to win that, and maybe do we want to get some games into them?2:11

Should Khawaja’s pattern of dismissals worry Australia?

“Do we feel like now’s the right time to change, or do you hold with the team that got us to the final? We’ve got a couple of weeks before the first Test of the West Indies, so we’ll sit down and have a bit of a think after we digest this game. For me, I think a new WTC cycle in some ways does feel like a bit of a reset.”The clearest option with a view to the next generation is Sam Konstas, who hasn’t featured since his first two Tests against India. It’s hypothetical to ponder how he would have fared at Lord’s – and there’s no guarantee he’ll be the immediate answer after just 17 first-class matches – but even before Steven Smith’s nastily dislocated finger, it was difficult to see how he wouldn’t get an opportunity in Barbados. Josh Inglis is another who will to be given serious consideration. The immediate change is unlikely to be dramatic, or, beyond Konstas, especially youthful. Inglis, should he get a chance, is 30; the reserve quicks are 36-year-old Scott Boland and 31-year-old Brendan Doggett, although they will be key if the selectors decide the time is right for more rotation of the big three quicks to keep them fresh. However, the overall next WTC cycle could see a more significant remaking of the team.”In white-ball series, a lot of the time you build on four-year cycles around World Cups for ODIs,” Cummins said. “I think maybe it’s an opportunity in a Test match to do something similar. Everyone gets thrown back into the conversation, and it’s a little bit of a reset for that first half.”The biggest questions heading into the WTC final were around Australia’s top three•PA Photos/Getty ImagesQuestions may also be asked of Australia’s build-up where they opted for centre-wicket and nets. It’s worth noting they did the same in 2023, when they beat India in the final. South Africa hoped to have four days of cricket against Zimbabweans, but rain reduced that to one. There was no clear pattern to draw between how players prepared and their output at Lord’s: Usman Khawaja hadn’t played since March and struggled, Cameron Green churned out runs for Gloucestershire and failed twice, and Smith had three months without batting and made 66 in tricky conditions in the first innings.”I thought we got it spot on,” Cummins said. “I think the weather helped us out as well in that lead-in. I thought the fast bowlers, particularly, from the medical staff as well – they did fantastically well to make sure everyone was firing all cylinders from basically ball one.”It remains a fantastic bowling attack, but this time that wasn’t enough. They were excellent on the fourth morning, but when South Africa began the final day requiring another 69 runs to win, it would have needed something extraordinary for Cummins to continue his winning run in ICC finals. Now it all starts again, and events over the last four days at Lord’s have meant it will be an intriguing time for Australia’s Test team.

Paratici can fund Spurs move for Semenyo by selling “embarrassing” flop

Tottenham Hotspur haven’t been alien to spending big money in the transfer market over the last couple of years, with the hierarchy evidently wanting to take the club up the Premier League table.

Thomas Frank was the beneficiary in the summer window, as the Dane was handed over £120m worth of funds to make the additions he desired to his Lilywhites squad.

Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons both made moves worth over £50m to North London during the summer, subsequently arriving to strengthen the quality available in the final third.

The pair have registered 13 combined goals and assists between them, with both managing to find the back of the net during Tuesday night’s Champions League win over Slavia Prague.

However, despite the successes of both players in recent weeks, the manager and the board look as though they want to make added reinforcements in the final third this winter.

Spurs’ potential move to land Antoine Semenyo in January

As Spurs fans will have seen over recent years, the Premier League has become one of the most fiercely contested leagues in the world, which could result in any side being punished on their day.

In the early stages of 2025/26, the Lilywhites appear to have forgotten about the struggles of last season, but they have still struggled on home soil – subsequently winning two league games in North London.

However, in an attempt to improve their form in attacking areas this winter, Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo has been identified as a primary target by the Spurs hierarchy.

The Ghanaian international has been in tremendous form this campaign, as seen by his tally of six goals and three assists in his first 14 league appearances for the Cherries.

As a result, Fabio Paratici has been monitoring the 25-year-old over recent weeks, especially after it was confirmed his £65m release clause becomes active from the 1st of January.

However, such a move could prove to be complicated, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool also closely monitoring the progress of the in-form attacker.

It’s also been suggested that the player would prefer a move to the Emirates if he were to leave Bournemouth this January, which could be Frank’s men on their back burner.

The Spurs star who should be sold to fund Semenyo transfer

Over the years, the Spurs board have made numerous questionable decisions that have proved to be mistakes, which have often resulted in huge sums of money being wasted.

From spending £63m on the signature of Tanguy Ndombele, to allowing numerous high-profile youngsters to leave on a free – it truly has been a period to forget for the board.

However, they do have another chance to redeem themselves in the upcoming winter, with the hierarchy needing to go all out in a bid to land Semenyo’s signature.

If they are to generate the funds needed to complete a move for his signature, they could turn to offload numerous players who are already on the books in North London.

Injury-prone players like Dominic Solanke and Richarlison would likely spring to the mind of many supporters – but midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur should be the first star offloaded.

The Uruguayan originally joined the club from Juventus back in January 2022, with such a move generating excitement at the time, but it’s safe to say that feeling has massively changed in recent times.

In 2025/26 to date, he’s featured in all but one Premier League outing, even receiving a new long-term contract back in October, but he’s struggled to perform since such an occasion.

Archie Gray has been selected ahead of him over the last couple of matches, with the Englishman now seemingly appearing ahead of him after his tremendous Champions League showing.

The teenager partnered Joao Palhinha at the base of the side, showing talents way beyond his tender years, which are only going to get better in the years ahead.

As for Bentancur, his recent showings have been nothing short of disappointing, even leading to one analyst dubbing him as “embarrassing” due to his lack of work rate.

The midfielder, who’s currently earning £75k-per-week, has failed to kick on after his contract renewal, with the board potentially hindering the progress of Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Pape Sarr by keeping him.

It’s unclear how much the hierarchy could generate by offloading him in the upcoming window, but it could well prove to be enough to help them in their pursuit of Semenyo.

Whilst the decision may appear harsh, it’s one that needs to be made for the interests of the club if they are to reach the next level during Frank’s tenure in North London.

BBC journalist shares Leeds "succession" update if Daniel Farke is sacked

Daniel Farke is battling to keep his job at Leeds United and a fresh update has now dropped regarding his future at Elland Road.

The Whites now sit 18th in the Premier League table, having lost five of their last six games in the competition, heaping the pressure on Farke with Leeds already linked with new managers such as Brendan Rodgers.

Former scout Mick Brown recently told Football Insider that 49ers Enterprises were even looking to make a change during the summer.

He wants to join: Leeds choose number one manager candidate as Farke nears sack

The Whites have a Premier League-experienced boss ready to come in at the expense of Farke.

BySean Markus Clifford Nov 24, 2025

Opinion is split amongst Leeds fans about Farke’s future and what the next steps should be, with Adam Pope providing insight on the situation this week.

Pope makes new claim about Farke succession plan

Speaking on the Don’t Go To Bed Just Yet podcast [via MOT Leeds News], Pope shared an update on Farke’s position at Leeds. While the BBC journalist stated the 49ers do not currently have someone “waiting in the wings”, he was then asked if they have someone they’re “looking at”, providing an intriguing response.

This now feels like a critical period for Farke, with Leeds’ results simply not good enough after some better ones earlier in the season, leading to them sliding into the relegation zone.

The German will know that improvements have to happen or 49ers will have to make a big decision, but unfortunately for him, next up is a trip to Manchester City on Saturday afternoon, which is nearly as tough as it gets.

He's a lot like Bielsa: Leeds could sack Farke for "special" 4-2-3-1 manager

Leeds United could finally dismiss Daniel Farke and replace him with their next Marcelo Bielsa.

ByKelan Sarson Nov 24, 2025

An ugly scoreline at the Etihad would crank up the pressure to new heights, and it would be a surprise if the Whites weren’t eyeing up potential replacements for Farke, with Rodgers perhaps the most likely given his status as a free agent with top flight experience.

O técnico do Interporto, Pedro Manta, reconheceu a situação delicada.
